### Purpose
The goal is to engage with youth in the communities and support them for higher education and career opportunities. In the long run these youth could also become resource groups for ViKa and can even serve as an alumni board to create an accountability mechanisms for our initiative.
### Principles
- Pilot. The first initiative will be a pilot and may not go very well. The goal is to gain information and learn from this rather than getting it perfect in the first instance.
### Outcome Visioning
Over the next three months we pilot sessions with a cohort of youths. We conduct workshops with them both for capacity building and career guidance. We are able to create some tangible outcomes for the youth in their future plans and also have a group of youth with the ability to support our initiative.
### Brainstorming
- What do I already know about this project? We know how other organisations like Sakhi and Sangama build their youth resources. We also understand the youth at Avalahalli and know some resource people who can conduct good sessions for them.
- What don’t I know that I need to find out? We've never really tried to engage with the youth and we don't know how much time they will give us and also what might actually interest them.
- Who can I talk to who might provide insights? It's worth talking to Bhagya and understanding what exactly they did in the initial days. It's also worth talking to the youth directly to understand them better.
- What can I read or listen to for relevant ideas? Not sure what to read here. Perhaps there are some papers and literature that we can look up
