### Purpose
We have explored many ways to capture the authentic stories that facilitators have at their centers. We find that when we are talking to them there is a lot of amazing insights and themes but somehow these don't get captured asynchronously. So far we've tried a lot of ideas but they've all been in the written medium. The idea is to build a system using conversational AI that can capture facilitator field notes.
### Principles
- Ethical. We are handling sensitive data about children. We need to build this application thoughtfully and ethically.
- Rigour. Ideally we want these field notes to be suitable as methodology in a research paper. We want it to be rigorous and well thought out.
### Outcome Visioning
Over the next month we develop a conversational AI in multiple languages that facilitators can then talk to and share how their days at the centre went. This informal conversation gives us richer insights into what is happening at each learning center.
### Brainstorming
- What do I already know about this project? I have read some papers about this and have an idea how I want it to work. I know what doesn't work with facilitators.
- What don’t I know that I need to find out? I need to figure out the technical implementation of this.
- Who can I talk to who might provide insights? I need to chat with Naman and understand the research a bit better around this.
- What can I read or listen to for relevant ideas? There is some research around photo voice and conversational AI surveys. Worth reading up on that.
### Actions
- [ ] Document the processes tried so far
- [ ] Get and read papers about using AI for surveys
- [ ] Identify an AI agent to communicate in Kannada
- [ ] Build a system that can make a phone call
- [ ] Test out the system with Venkatesh and Janaki
