- We've stopped talking to strangers because of our phones. In the past we needed conversation to pass time but now we don't need it anymore.
- The other factor is that cities also have an overload of stimulus. Given how many people we encounter we actually try to remove people from our field of interest completely.
- We also generally have a fear of rejection. We've been taught since children about "Stranger Danger" and that is something we carry with us in this generation.
