- Existing curriculum and stuff is meant to be useful guides and not something that keeps us rigid. It can really help in making things easy, fast and structured. - The other thing to keep in mind is that in many cases lots of research has gone into curricula and lots of it has also been done very well. We can leverage it and use it to our advantage rather than recreating and wasting time. --- My Helsinki colleagues signaled that they viewed the use of these materials as valuable in their classrooms, not as a joy-diminishing obligation.
