### Probability 10th Standard
We got some success with experiment two but it was not perfect. What we're going to do is break down the approach with section 2 by question and see how it goes. Once again, this is likely going to increase costs and is not particularly scaleable but the goal is to get a good user experience first.

I'm unsure how to combine these two so I added them up 2/10 + 3/10 = 5/10 or 1/2

You mentioned that the probability of two independent events is the product of their probabilities so the probability of getting a number is 1/5 x 1/3 = 1/15.
### Notes
- One hitch experienced was in question 2. When the elements of the explanation included the definition of total outcomes it initially seemed impossible to teach GPT 4 about total outcomes. When we slightly tweaked the language GPT 4 started to work better.
- GPT 4 tended to return the explanation for all the missing pieces. We had to explicitly point out to short circuit when it encountered a missing explanation and to only return the first encountered missing piece.
- GPT 4 also changed the format when the answer was correct. Needed an explicit prompt on how to respond if all explanation details are present.
- GPT tended to be quite rigid and almost worked like if conditions. This approach worked well to a large degree when the elements of a good explanation were always in order but in the last question the order could be changed. This tended to trip up GPT 4 though it almost managed to answer.
- GPT was quite good in handling hacks. Despite trying to get it to say something specific it did not do so and asked for an explanation.
- GPT responses can vary so it may not always make for a fair examination. We might have to set the temperature such that it doesn't vary across children.
- GPT 4 is very good at understanding when elements of a text are present and absent. What it's not good at is computing the answer based on the information the user provides. Initially if a wrong formula for probability was given it was unable to calculate based on the wrong formula. Explicit instruction had to be provided to handle wrong formula.
